The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Great Gatsby is known as Fitzgerald's crowing achievement. In it, he depicts the Jazz Age--the Roaring 20s. It is a story of wealth, pretense, love, lust, devastation, and morality. Through the eyes of Nick Carraway, the reader is ushered into the lavish lifestyle of the rich and famous, whether it be the classic Georgian houses "glittering" in fashionable East Egg or the flashy megamansions in noveau rich West Egg.
